This year, our main goal is to raise $5,000 for our annual National Federation of Community Development Credit Union (NFCDCU) Confrence that will be hosted in Denver Colorado durning June 8 - 10. In this committee the youth plan fundraisers, call for donations and write donation letters.
We wrote many donations letter in the past, which in total earned us $5,000. To raise five thousand dollars for the NFCDCU Conference, the fundraisers that we are planning on doing to go to Denver are car wash, where we wash cars for money and sell candy. Whe have a bake sell where we sell baked goods. We are going to have a movie nights once a month on a Saturday. We write letters to banks, businesses, and credit unions for donations.
We had a great time in New York where we learned a lot about how other Credit Unions and Youth Credit Unions run their programs. Hopefully we can raise enough money to go to Denver because it will really help our credit union. We can ask questions from other credit unions about how they run their programs. We are planning to ask questions about how to get more members, we also want to find out how other Youth Credit Unions started their business. We could ask for advice on Credit Unions on how we can run our Credit Union better.
